OUR HISTORY AND CALLING

When we left our corporate jobs to join staff with Cru, it was because we could not escape the burden God had given us to reach lost  people with the gospel. From the beginning we have said we will go wherever there is a need.  From 2007-2021 we served as full-time campus missionaries. From working with students directly on the University of Arizona, to leading Winter Conferences and summer missions across the United States,  to helping send students & staff globally, and finally to leading Church Partnerships for Cru - Campus. 

It has been a privilege to send Christ-centered disciples into the workforce, neighborhoods, and churches equipped to share Jesus with others.

As of 2022 we are full time missionaries with FamilyLife. We believe families are the greatest untapped resource on earth to fulfill the Great Commission. Every culture craves healthy family relationships. We will help families grow from isolation to impact - believing that every home that follows Jesus can make a difference in another home. Chris is the Chief of Staff for FamilyLife Local and works with our teams across the United States. Vanessa is a Field Leader, working with women to share the good news of Jesus and impact families in our corner of the world.

BREAST CANCER JOURNEY

On February 27, 2023 Vanessa was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Over the next two years she had five surgeries, including a bilateral mastectomy, multiple reconstructive surgeries, and a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.  We praise God that she is considered cured of cancer! Her cancer prevention includes daily medications aimed at preventing this invasive cancer from returning. These costs have increased our financial needs.

JOINING OUR TEAM

MISSIONARY FUNDING

Cru has no central funds to pay the salaries, benefits and ministry expenses of its missionaries. We seek a team of partners that will regularly pray for us and financially support our ministry so we can stay engaged in the gospel work to which God has called us.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT US

Ongoing financial partners provide the foundation necessary to stay in the field. 

You can do this through:

-A monthly gift of $100-$500 (or some other amount)

-An annual gift of $1,000-$5,000 (or some other amount)

We rely on prayer partners to intercede for us and our ministry. We consider it a privilege to pray for our partners as well. Will you commit to faithfully praying for our family as we engage in missions?
