The need to find meaning in life and in relationships has never been greater on the college campus. Students are confused and seeking answers. Many are taken in by what the world has to offer. As Christians, we know that only a relationship with Jesus Christ can ultimately satisfy.
We work with the Lifelines outdoor ministry in the Northeast region of the U.S., ministering to students from Boston to Maine, NYC to Vermont and beyond! In Lifelines, we take students whitewater rafting, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, and on many other outdoor adventures in order to reach them with the gospel. One of Lifelines strengths is that it attracts students that would not normally attend a Christian meeting or Bible study. The trips provide numerous opportunities to share the gospel and build relationships with students. As these relationships grow, we can show students how knowing Jesus personally can transform their lives.
I[Ryan] became involved with Cru as a student. Over the two years I was involved in the ministry, God began to open my eyes to the need to reach college students with the love of Jesus Christ. Through prayer, and over time, it became clear; God was leading me to join the ministry full time. I[Stephanie] first accepted Christ as her Savior though her own involvement with this ministry as a student. We have both seen firsthand that God is using this ministry to change lives.
