We have been missionaries in Portland, Oregon for over 7 years. All 3 of our kids were born here (Sunny 5, Jack 3, and Kai 1) and we love raising our kids to be true Oregonians. Over our time in Portland, we've seen God do some transformative work in and through the lives of many college students and post-college young adults around the city. We love Portland, and love what God is up to here. 

Oregon in general, and Portland specifically present many challenges. Oregon is considered the “Most Unchurched State” in America and Portland is one of the most unchurched metro cities in America. Also, Portland is continually considered the “Unhappiest City” and consistently yields some of the highest rates of depression and suicide. Even in the midst of these difficulties, God is moving and bringing an increasing number of young adults into a relationship with Him.

We are excited for the opportunity to share the gospel and see people won to Christ, built up in their faith, and equipped to be sent out into the world carrying Christ's message of love and forgiveness. It is our desire that every person in Portland would have on opportunity to respond to the gospel, and Jesus’ name would be exalted and magnified in their hearts, permeating out to transform the neighborhoods and workplaces around them. We dream of one day, when there are pockets of believers in every corner of every neighborhood, coffee shop, business, and school around the city.
