Thanks for visiting our web page and showing an interest in the ministry of Cru, formerly Campus Crusade for Christ. God has used this organization over the years to reach hundreds of millions for Christ. Every day thousands come to Christ through this ministry. Jan and I joined Cru in 2009 so we could invest the rest of our lives building the kingdom of God by pouring into the lives of staff members of Cru.
My job (Mark), as the Staff Effectiveness Director, is to bring training and spiritual development to the 1000 staff members that work at the headquarters in Orlando. Because of headquarters, it is possible that the 6,000 U.S. staff members and 25,000 worldwide staff members are able to serve as they do. I use many of my pastoral skills and training to minister to the staff members. I have the opportunity to influence all the new staff members coming on (about 350 per year) and teach theology to them. I can’t image being in a more strategic position. My goal comes from Colossians 1:28, “We spread the message about Christ as we instruct and teach everyone with all the wisdom there is. We want to present everyone as mature Christian people.”
I (Jan) work in the Communications department as a writer and editor which includes the award winning magazine Worldwide Challenge, the radio ministry, and website. Our goal is to “publish His glorious acts throughout all the earth; tell everyone of the wonderful things He does” (Psalm 96:3).
