After serving on college campuses for six years and Cru's headquarters for two, I now serve with Church Movements U.S. in Kansas City. I am part of a team that is partnering to make Jesus known, multiply the church, and serve the city.
It is a joy to see people move towards Jesus and to walk alongside others, equipping and envisioning them to see how God can and will use them to influence others where they live, work, and play!
The reality is that the U.S. is a mission field.
- 86% of Millennials consider themselves non-Christian
- 4,000 churches close each year
- 168 million are non-Christians
- U.S. is the 6th most unchurched nation in the world
- We are a nation of rejected access. We have the Bible and resources, but people reject them.
Vision:
But…what if there were transformative, multiplying churches in every segment of the city that communicate and demonstrate the gospel to every person, so that every man, woman and child would know the gospel and experience the love of Jesus! That is our dream.
We are partnering with local churches to connect people to Jesus, develop missional leaders, and our hope is that, in partnership with the Body of Christ, we will see faith communities and churches multiply!
My Role:
As the Executive Assistant with the national team for Church Movements, I serve our ministry staff and partners and get to help influence our ministry, while also having the joy of doing local ministry with people in Kansas City. It’s so fun to see the Holy Spirit change hearts and lives and communities…to see people find and share their hope in Jesus!
