In 2009 we attended the FamilyLife Weekend To Remember Marriage Getaway. God used that event to strengthen our marriage AND call us into full time ministry with FamilyLife. We left our careers, sold our home in Missouri, moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, and joined staff with FamilyLife in July of 2012.
Nathan served at the FamilyLife headquarters in the IT department. Jennifer became a Marriage Mentor and started a Marriage Ministry at our local church. Throughout the 7 years we served at FamilyLife headquarters, God gave us a heart for face-to-face ministry. God grew our Marriage Ministry at our church and we started mentoring many couples.
In the fall of 2019 FamilyLife leaders made the wise decision to move the headquarters from Little Rock to Orlando, Florida. Even though this was a good move for FamilyLife, we did not feel called to continue serving in a headquarters ministry position and relocate our family to Orlando. Our desire was to continue our face-to-face local ministry here in Arkansas. At the same time Nathan still felt called to work in the IT field. We were very sad, we thought this meant our days with FamilyLife were over.
But God!
We learned that FamilyLife was starting a new department called Local Movement Ministry. FamilyLife wants staff on-the-ground, around the country, doing the kind of face-to-face marriage ministry we were already doing. How Perfect! So in December of 2019 Jennifer accepted a position in the Local Movements Department as a Guide and was assigned to the Central Arkansas region. God also blessed Nathan with an IT position that fits his skills perfectly at a local company, so Nathan transitioned from full-time staff to an official volunteer in the FamilyLife Local Movements Department. The company Nathan works for is so wonderful, they allow Nathan flexibility in his schedule to continue our ministry work.
Our passion is to help couples find and experience God’s best in their marriage and family! We are grateful to be a part of the ministry God is doing through FamilyLife!
