For over a decade we have been connected as students, supporters and staff with Cru. God used Cru in both of our lives to capture our hearts and give us a depth in our faith that has fueled our lives, our marriage, and our careers, both in the military and in ministry. Since graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011, Laura has been working with Cru on campuses in Pittsburgh, Norfolk, and Blacksburg while I served as an officer in the Navy. As a family we’ve experienced what it is like to serve, lead and adapt in the military while also being a believer. We know how deployments, moves, and the military culture can make it difficult to continue to walk with Jesus, and we’ve increasingly grown a burden to prepare people well for service. 

As I (Dan) left active duty Navy service in 2019, we transitioned back to my alma mater at the U.S. Naval Academy to begin ministry as a family on mission together. Our hope is for students and midshipman to have the same opportunities we had in college- to begin an intimate relationship with Jesus and prepare for a lifetime of labor for Gospel in the Fleet and around the world!
