Hi! We are Matt & Erin Kay, and we serve on staff with Cru Church Movements. Throughout our previous years in campus and pastoral ministry, our desire has been to see the transformative love and discipleship of Jesus work its way into the lives of the people we serve. 

We are living in a time where 2.5 million Americans leave the church and about 3,700 churches are closing every year. There are an estimated 156 million U.S. residents who are not engaged with a Christian church, and yet, a large percentage of those who don’t attend church gatherings were people who once did.

Though their reasons for leaving may vary, our experience over the years has taught us that people are thirsty for a transformative experience of the love of Jesus in their everyday lives beyond Sunday morning, and there are still many more who need to hear and respond to the life-changing power of the gospel!

This is why we are excited to join in the work of Cru Church Movements.  While Cru’s ministry among college students has been to equip the future leaders of the church, Cru Church Movements exists to engage in the work of empowering its present members too!  Our role in this ministry is to facilitate collaborative partnerships with pastors, ministry leaders, and local churches for the sake of fulfilling the Great Commission within our spheres of influence.  Our mission: to engage the curious and equip the follower, so people can find their place in God’s story. 

We are so grateful for your prayers for us and for your partnership with us in this ministry. Please pray that the Lord will continue to build this collaborative network of like-minded churches and leaders here in the Lehigh Valley and beyond—striving side by side for the faith of the gospel (Philippians 1.27), so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ (Colossians 1.28).
