My path to Cru is a somewhat unconventional one. I grew up in a Christian home and was active in my church community, accepting Christ when I was 16 years old at a regional youth retreat in Virginia where I grew up. 

After college, I pursued a career in higher education for nearly 10 years and worked on college campuses as a housing and student activities administrator. It was on the first day of my first doctoral class that I sensed a call to leave it all behind and pursue a life in ministry. A year later, I moved to Florida where I met my wife, Stacey, who is a high school teacher. She was also an active teacher sponsor of a Cru movement at her school. 

I started volunteering with Cru and attended a conference where I saw some of my students respond to Christ for the first time. I decided then that I wanted to be a part of what God was doing in the lives of teens through Cru, and I joined the field staff team in Orlando in 2014. I currently serve as the co-Team Leader for the Middle + High School Ministry of Cru in Orlando, FL and spend time with the field team in the area schools.
