Picture this — transformative, multiplying churches in every segment of our cities and towns that communicate and demonstrate the gospel to every person, so that every man, woman and child would know the gospel and experience the love of Jesus Christ.
Beautiful, right? Sadly, this does not describe reality. As of recent years the statistics shows us that the United States ranks 6th with the most Non-Christians in the world...51% of church attenders in America do not know what the Great Commission is...and 1% of church leaders say the church is making disciples.
Cru is called to help fulfill the Great Commission by winning, building, and sending in the power of the Holy Spirit, and helping the body of Christ make disciples through evangelism and discipleship. Logan is working with various churches in the greater Charlotte area; offering trainings in evangelism and discipleship resources to help ministries and churches mobilize for the Great Commission.
Jillian is ministering to the deaf and hard of hearing community in Charlotte. Have you ever thought about this community? If a deaf or hard of hearing person walked in the doors of your church, could they have access to understanding the sermon? Could they enjoy fellowship and community through conversation? For most churches, the answer is no. We are severely unequipped. The deaf and hard of hearing community is one of the largest unreached population groups in the world, with only 2% claiming Christianity as their faith. Through the natural relationships Jillian will make as a parent of a hard of hearing child, she wants to bring the hope of the gospel to this community.
