We are excited for the opportunity to serve with Cru to reach college students with the Gospel and encourage them in their faith! We are working with students at the University of South Florida (~48,000) and the University of Tampa (9,000+). We also have a desire to launch new movements among the 250,000 other college students on campuses around Tampa, some of which have no Christian ministry presence.
God instilled us with many passions. We love pouring into the lives of others, getting people connected to the Church, traveling and loving on people from all kinds of places, and enjoying the majesty of Creation. As we both felt called to ministry, it was beautifully revealed how the Lord has orchestrated to use these passions in conjunction with college ministry. In addition to leading Bible study, organizing outreaches and mentoring students, each of us help with specific areas of ministry. Whitney is training to bring Lifelines, Cru’s outdoor adventure ministry, to Tampa as a means of connecting with new students and creating Gospel conversation and has been a real admin asset for the team. Ed leads our team in connecting with the growing number of international students. There are currently about 7,000 internationals from 157 different countries and this is expected to double! This is truly a strategic way to reach the nations!
It's been exciting to see lives transformed by the saving knowledge and grace of Christ!
