I am thrilled to be serving with Cru at Virginia Tech and that you are praying about partnering with me in that! I graduated from Tech in 2013 and feel so blessed that the Lord has called me to reach fellow Hokies with the Gospel as my full-time job. The Lord used Cru at Virginia Tech to draw me closer to Himself and now I get to be used by Him to do the same for current students.

The University campus is full of future world leaders, educators, businessmen, parents, church leaders... and more, who will impact society in this generation. How incredible would it be if these same men and women were in love with Jesus training to walk by faith, communicate their faith, and multiply their faith? As a campus director for Cru at Virginia Tech I have the privilege of shepherding the staff team so they can lead students effectively, discipling student leaders, training them in evangelism, and dreaming up new ways to reach Hokies with the good news. I truly do believe that if we can win the campus with the message of the Gospel, we can reach the world for Gospel!

For the 2026-2027 academic year, the Lord has given me a different location assignment: Brasilia, Brazil! We are working alongside the staff of Cru Brazil to trust God to raise up a movement of multiplying disciples at the University of Brasilia. I, along with 5 other Hokies grads, will be spending the year praying, sharing our faith and mobilizing students and churches to reach their communities. The dream is to see a sustainable movement raised up and for this to be a place where God continues to send Hokies for years to come. I hope that when others see what God is doing in Brasilia, other students will develop a heart for the nations and consider spending a year on mission after graduation.

If you are not receiving my prayer letter and you would like to hear a small piece of what the Lord is doing around the world, please email me at rebecca.lansford@cru.org.

Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel as I serve with Cru at Virginia Tech and in Brazil!
