Thank you for your interest in our ministry with Athletes in Action! 

While Jenn and I were dating, I (Stuart) participated in a small group at our church which went through the book, "In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day." The premise of the book was figuring out what things God was calling you to do that fear may be holding you back from (your lion) and gaining the confidence and passion to chase them. It was during this time I felt God calling him into ministry, but this call was still surrounded by a lot of financial fears, so I kept it to myself. 

Fastforward through an engagement, a wedding, and 6 months of marriage. We attended a Family Life conference, "A Weekend to Remember," where one of the speakers, Jose Alvarez, was not only a former baseball player for the Atlanta Braves, but had also previously served as a chaplain for PGA Web.com tour. It was through this and other speakers that I heard God calling me into ministry once more. On the ride home, I finally told Jenn about this calling, and although she was completely shocked, she was also very excited at the prospect of serving in ministry alongside me!

We are serving on the 937 team, specifically at the University of Dayton. As well as discipling guys at UD, Stuart is also the Operations and Finance Director of the 937 team. He is responsible for day to day operations, equipping staff and volunteers on the 12 campuses and helping raise and direct the funds of the 937 team.
