Reaching Marines at Camp Pendleton Through Cru Military

At Marine Corps Base Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, thousands of Marines, Sailors, and military families carry enormous burdens while preparing to defend our nation. Behind the strength and discipline are young men and women facing loneliness, broken relationships, anxiety, trauma, and spiritual emptiness.

This is why religious ministry through Cru Military is essential.

Cru Military missionaries are uniquely positioned to bring the hope of Christ directly into the military community — building relationships, discipling service members, strengthening marriages, mentoring young leaders, and walking alongside families during deployments, transitions, and crisis.

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish a Cru Military presence on each of the 12 camps and training areas at Camp Pendleton. Currently, we have active ministry presence on 4 camps, including the School of Infantry.

God is already opening doors:

  • A growing Bible study for Marines and inmates in the Brig
  • A combat trauma recovery group serving Marines at the School of Infantry
  • Ongoing discipleship and spiritual mentoring for active-duty Marines and Sailors

We believe every camp should have consistent gospel-centered ministry and relational support available to those serving there.

Why Camp Pendleton Matters

  • One of the largest Marine Corps bases in the world
  • More than 125,000 acres and 17 miles of coastline
  • Over 42,000 active-duty Marines and Sailors
  • More than 38,000 military family members
  • Daily population exceeding 65,000–70,000 people
  • Thousands of young service members are far from home, many navigating combat stress, deployment cycles, and isolation

The Urgency

  • In 2024, 471 U.S. service members died by suicide
  • Most military suicides involved enlisted men under age 30
  • Relationship struggles were present in nearly 45% of active-duty suicide cases
  • Military families face repeated deployments, high stress, and significant marital strain
  • Many young Marines are searching for purpose, identity, and hope beyond

Why Your Support Matters

Every Bible study, mentoring relationship, counseling conversation, and gospel-centered community gathering can change the trajectory of a life — and even an entire family line.

By supporting Cru Military at Camp Pendleton, you are helping:

  • Reach Marines and Sailors with the gospel
  • Expand ministry presence across all 12 camps
  • Strengthen military marriages and families
  • Support trauma recovery and spiritual healing
  • Disciple future spiritual leaders
  • Bring Christ-centered community into one of America’s largest military populations

Your partnership helps ensure that no Marine has to fight life’s battles alone.
