Kathryn works with MK2MK,  a branch of CRU focused on supporting missionary families and building a global spiritual community of missionary kids who impact their world for Christ.

Kathryn grew up overseas in Romania and Hungary as an MK and has been involved in MK2MK since 2008. 

What is MK2MK? MK2MK is a branch of CRU focused on supporting missionary families and building a global spiritually community of missionary kids who impact their world for Christ. To any parent, their child is the most important part of their lives. At MK2MK we recognize how important caring for missionary families as a whole is. We work with missionary kids through care trips, summer missions projects, and conferences. We want to help create an understanding and supportive community for missionary kids so that they can go out and be missionaries themselves, in their schools, neighborhoods, cities and countries. 

MK2MK's vision: The vision of mk2mk is to build a global, spiritual community of missionary kids who impact their world for Christ. As a part of Campus Crusade for Christ, our focus is primarily the MKs in our organization; however, all MKs are welcome to be part of this community.It is a community where discipleship and encouragement happen because connection is made possible through numerous venues around the world. When Jesus said to go out into the entire world, he made it pretty clear: we need to be making disciples.Our focus is simple–college-age MKs discipling teenage MKs. Through the relationships that are created, and the discipleship that flows from these connections, MKs around the globe are having an impact for Christ where they live.

Kathryn's vision: I want to join with mk2mk to use my unique skills and history as a missionary kid to come along side mk's and support them in whatever they need as well as helping them to build community and further their relationship with God. In college I studied nursing. As a nurse I am the advocate for the patient. I am the one person there to listen to them, to see them for who they are, and to fight for their needs, advocating between both their families and their doctors. I hope to do the same thing for missionary kids. I want to be there to advocate for their needs, to listen to them, to see them for who they are as well as  interceding for them in any way necessary. I want to help empower them and give them a voice so that the can discover who they are in Christ. 

You can make a difference in reaching the world for Christ by caring for missionary families. Cru has no central funds for paying salaries and ministry expenses of its missionaries.
