We are Dillon and Keren Daniel, serving on the Detroit-Windsor Bridges team in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Bridges International is a caring community of Christ-followers committed to serve, promote social connections, and engage in spiritual conversations with international students, so that students become leaders internationally.​

Why international students?

One million. Every year, one million students and scholars from around the world traverse the halls of American universities. One million future leaders of the world are here. Now. They are at our doorsteps, and they are often lonely and isolated. Who will befriend them, invite them into an American home, and help them figure out life in the U.S.? Who will share the love and hope of Jesus with them?

Students from regions in the world with the least access to the gospel—China, India, the Middle East—are here now. Will you partner with us to welcome them, share the love of Jesus with them, help them grow in their faith, and launch them out into the world as ambassadors for Christ?

Our story

After four years of attempting to serve university students in South Asia, we went on a routine visa run after the birth of our second daughter. It was during this time we found out that the visa guidelines for remaining in South Asia had changed, and there was no way to remain in the country we were beginning to call home. 

Just like that, we found ourselves back in America with no backup plan and no real sense of God’s next step for us. We were exhausted, and God clarified what was next for us. 

God’s leading, one step at a time, brought us yet again to Bridges to reach international students. During our years in South Asia, we lived as foreigners, learning the language, experiencing culture, and building relationships. The script is now flipped as we find ourselves the hosts. How much has God prepared us to empathize with living and studying abroad outside one’s home culture and heart language?

Our roles now

Dillon serves as the team leader of our dynamic team of seven staff members, and we actively pursue several campuses in the Detroit area, ranging from the University of Michigan to Windsor. We aim to WIN these students to Christ, BUILD them up through discipleship and training, and SEND them out to reach the world for the rest of their lives, likely in places we could never go ourselves.

While caring for the daily needs of our two kids (Ellie, b. 2021 and Charlotte, b. 2023), Keren also serves with Bridges, welcoming international students into our home and engaging them with the love of Jesus.
