We’re Jay and Zina, serving long-term with Cru in Ljubljana, Slovenia. We are trusting God to move in the hearts of Slovenes—bringing them into relationship with Himself, and building a body of believers who encourage one another and grow in their faith together.

Our vision is simple but bold: to see a community of people reading the Bible, obeying God’s Word, and sharing His love in each of the 212 municipalities of Slovenia. This would mean that no one in the country would be more than a 15-minute drive from someone who truly follows Jesus.

Jay is originally from the U.S., and came to faith in high school. While studying at university, he got involved with Cru and saw his faith deepen as he discovered how God could use him to reach others. Zina is from Moldova, and came to know Jesus through Cru at her university. That transformation led her to join staff after graduation so that others could experience the same life-changing relationship with Christ.

We’re also joyfully raising our two sons, Ari and Milo, here in Slovenia—and we’re passionate about building a movement led by Slovene believers, so that many more can come to know Jesus and live lives marked by His love and truth.
