Sports always played a big role in my life. When I became  a  Christian we used to play basketball in the rented school gyms and to invite our non-believing friends. In 2004 I translated from English the document called "Biblical principles of the sports ministry" and "fell in love" with that ministry. Since then I always engaged myself in all kind of sports ministry outreaches: games with locals while being onboard of the Christian ship MV Doulos, Christian Basketball League, Sports Chaplainship, Sports camps etc.

In 2016 God led me to leave my secular job at the international company and to start my walk further serving Jesus with Athletes in Action, Ukraine. We use effective Bible-based methods for sharing Gospel and for the discipleship in order to equip true followers of Christ for the ministry. Our vision is the strategy in Ukraine called Sports Community - building bridges between a church and a neighbourhood where this church is located using sports.

For now we have sport communities turned into a soccer club called Sport Kids in different locations of Kiev and near it. My main roles in it are administrative/financial management and the arrangement of the Bible course for children "Emmaus" as well as the discipleship with female volunteers and with moms of our Sport Kids :)

I have a basketball coach  licence. Sometimes I coach basketball school children in the partnership with the Christian basketball Academy "Admirals" in Vyshneve, Ukraine. My dream/prayer is to build a movement of the basketball sport community/club.

We see a great potential in the fact that Sports Community of the churches would be able to grow into a fully operating Christian Sports Academy for children and teenagers that may transform the society of the churches' neighbourhoods even all over Ukraine.

My verse from Scripture is:

HEBREWS 12: 1-3 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
