Hello, we are Oleksiy and Yulia Shcherbak.

About us

We are missionaries with Ukraine for Christ, part of Campus Crusade for Christ International. We have a son - Timothy. Yulia serves in Crescendo, a ministry for musicians. Oleksiy has been serving in the military since 2025. 

Our mission vision: The Gospel of hope restores Ukraine. And each of us is connected to this vision in our own way, through evangelism, discipleship to different categories of society and through the protection of our people from the enemy - the Russians, who came to our land and commit evil, violence, death and destroy life. 

Our stories in brief

Oleksiy: I came to God through football in 2012 in the Donetsk region, in eastern Ukraine. Today, my spiritual home is destroyed and occupied by Russia. I served in the local church and CRU, and in 2017, I joined the mission as full-time staff with student ministry, moving to Kyiv. In 2019, we got married and relocated to Dnipro to reach students there. Due to Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, we evacuated, and half a year later returned, this time settling back in Kyiv.In 2025, I voluntarily joined the military to protect our people and our nation, and I am currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I believe that God has called us to be missionaries regardless of where we are.

Yulia. I came to God through my grandmother, who witnessed to me in childhood and invited me to a Christian camp, where I met believers and then started going to church. I repented in 2014, and in 2015 I met Campus in Kyiv, where I moved to study at the music academy. Campus helped me grow spiritually through mentors, and also taught me about evangelism and discipleship. After studying, I decided to join the mission, because I realized that changing people through the Gospel, which our mission carries, is the best thing I can dedicate my life to. For 6 years, I worked with my husband in student ministry, and in 2025 I joined the Crescendo ministry, which evangelizes professional musicians.  My professional experience in classical music helps me reach musicians for Christ now.

Why do we need you?

We believe in the Gospel that can change people and the country, and we are dedicated to this Gospel. Now, more than ever, Ukraine needs people with good values ​​who will influence people and testify to them about Christ. In order to carry out our ministry, we need a support team that can participate in our ministry prayerfully and financially.
