An estimated 99.7% of all missional activities and resources go toward building and maintaining the Church where it already exists. However, where church-planting efforts are being made, there is a lack of visibility of the progress. Due to a large number of church planting organizations seeking to work strategically together around the world, there has been no acceptable way to keep track of how many churches are being planted, where they are being planted, and where they are still needed. It has been difficult to know if we have reached our goal of 5 million new churches because the partners have not had one easy way to communicate and track with each other. 


Through Cru’s innovative iShare tool, churches and missionary organizations will be able to collaboratively target and track church-planting efforts globally, even in regions where there is little to no church presence. iShare allows users to visualize current realities, results, and measurements with charts, maps, and more to track key ministry milestones and information.

The release of iShare 2.0 in February 2018 allowed reporting across multiple organizations to fully measure the joint progress towards the goal of 5 million new churches—one church for every 1000 people. Over the next 12-18 months, the new generation of iShare will be developed, tested, and implemented along with other mission-focused partner organizations, including the Global Alliance for Church Multiplication. We will be able to identify kingdom activity that is taking place in specific regions of the world.
