Athletes in Action NorCal is trusting God to transform and develop the character, leadership and faith of student athletes and coaches at UC Davis, Sacramento State and other surrounding Universities so that they are equipped to impact the campus, surrounding community and world for Christ.

We accomplish this through a 4 pronged approach... Pray, Win, Build, Send. 

First and foremost we PRAY for the athletes and coaches in the athletic departments we serve. 

We WIN by exposing student athletes to a relationship with Jesus through large group meetings, spiritual interest surveys, personal evangelism as well as community events and socials. 

We BUILD student athletes in their faith through discipleship, Small group Bible studies (dubbed Total Athlete Groups), team chaplaincy, and through various camps and retreats throughout the year.  

We SEND student athletes to be the hands and feet of the Gospel. First, to their team and athletic department, but also into the local community through partnerships with local churches and youth programs to run sports camps, volunteering with youth sports teams and sharing testimonies at FCA High School Huddles. Finally, we send athletes overseas as a part of Gospel centered competitive sports tours and more traditional sports focused missions trip teams. We are very excited about launching a new partnership with Cru and AIA in Jamaica and look forward to the work God will do there. 

It is our desire that every athlete involved in our ministry would be Equipped for a lifetime of walking with Jesus and living out the Great Commission. Our vision is to see them 100% Sent no matter where God calls. 

In a culture that looks up to athletes as heroes, we desire to see those heroes looking to God!
