Prior to being called to serve with Cru, I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a mental health therapist. It was such a privilege to work in a discipline that concerns itself with improving the quality of life of individuals. During my final year of graduate school I discovered Cru. Despite not being involved with Cru throughout most of my college career, God still used it to play a major role in my spiritual development. Through Cru I gained a greater understanding of scripture and God. In addition to this, while on summer mission with Cru in 2017, I grew aware of the importance of sharing the gospel, as well as the need. Although my career plans at the time were to pursue full-time social work, this awareness sparked a desire within me to point those I encounter in the direction of Jesus, thus ultimately leading me to join staff with Cru and serve with Destino.
In my role with Destino, I want to use my own cultural lens to assist in the creation of content that will speak to the hearts of people in Spanish speaking countries. I want everyone to have the opportunity to learn about Jesus, regardless of where they are at in the world or what their spoken language is. Overall, I am committed to sharing the gospel with people around the world so that everyone can have an opportunity to know about God.
