Hello! We are AJ and Bria Main and would like to tell you a little about us and our story.  AJ and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary this past June and have the privilege of raising 5 sweet, lively and energetic kiddos ranging from 21-9. Although one has flown the coop. Our oldest is married and has our first grandkid! I have been a stay at home, homeschool mom since our oldest was born and AJ has served on staff at two wonderful churches starting as a youth pastor at our first church in 1999 then being called to our current church starting in 2004. About 12 years ago, AJ and I felt God calling us to focus more on marriage and family. We wanted to be able to encourage, equip and walk alongside them helping to develop strong, gospel centered families. It became a reality when AJ was able to transition into a Family Minister’s role at our church that provided him and I the opportunity to begin teaching parenting and marriage classes. 

10 years ago,  AJ and I attended our first Weekend to Remember, which is a marriage conference put on by FamilyLife. This weekend was eye opening and rich, helping our marriage tremendously in the area of communication and purpose as a "team," which was stated as Oneness! The conference helped us connect  on a deeper level and gave us some great tools to share with others. It also reminded us of a forgotten truth with the marriage covenant- To be a Reflection of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We entered into communication with FamilyLife shortly after that weekend to see if God was leading us to partner with this awesome ministry. We jumped on the local volunteer team and then five and a half years later, we began our journey of being on staff with FamilyLife.  AJ finished his role on staff at our church at the end of August 2020 and since our position at FamilyLife is a missionary position we have raised our own support to be able to be on the field. We are always in need of individuals and families that can partner with us financially on a monthly or yearly basis. If you are able, check out our giving section on this page. We appreciate it! 

Our assignment is right here where we live in the Charlotte Metro area and our title is Charlotte Metro Local Directors. AJ has lived here his entire life and I have been here now for 23 years. Therefore, with 25+ years of ministry in the area we are excited to use the network we have established to reach marriages and families with the gospel. The four avenues we use to do so is through churches, businesses, government agencies and other ministries. We get to walk alongside these different avenues to see how we can help in the context of marriage and parenting, while also proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ! 

FamilyLife is a branch off of Cru (also known as Campus Crusade for Christ) which is one of the largest worldwide organizations committed to making an eternal difference in people’s lives.  We are excited about this chapter in our lives, fully committed to the mission of "Helping families pursue the relationships that matter most."
