Thank you so much for partnering with us as we serve in Campus Ministry around the Midwest and the world. We have the unique opportunity to work together as a “circle” to raise our financial support and commit to each of our flourishing. We can’t do ministry alone and we couldn’t serve effectively in long-term ministry without you or without a team.
Though each of us uses our gifts to serve in unique ways and are reporting to different locations, we are all committed to transforming campus communities through winning, building, and sending Christ-centered multiplying disciples.
Meet Our Circle
Our Allied Circle commits to vulnerable communication and valuing differences as we collectively pioneer in this journey towards being fully funded together. We seek to honor the Lord, our ministry partners and each other as we work toward this shared goal of holistic flourishing.
Sarah Olson
Born in MN and raised in WI, Sarah has loved living in the Midwest. She graduated from UW Stout with a degree in Graphic Design, but realized through her student involvement in Cru that her true passion is telling others about Jesus. Because local Cru staff made a significant difference in her spiritual growth, Sarah chose to spend 2 years interning with Cru in her college town, hoping to impact other students with the gospel. During this time, Jesus showed her the great need college students have for God’s love and transformation. God’s heart is to make spiritually dead people alive in Christ and Sarah is humbled to have a part in this work. She prays that as students are changed by God’s power, they would also be built up in their faith, and ultimately sent out to share the Good News with others.
Holley Mapel
Ohio born and raised, Holley has always had a passion for the world and following the Lord as He leads. While first stepping into ministry upon graduation from Wright State University was primarily more out of obedience than desire, there is now an abundance for deep desire to continue in this calling. In her first year with Cru she was at the headquarters office in Orlando managing special projects within the campus ministry, mostly working within partnerships and resourcing student-led movements. She then intended to serve in Peru for a year, but was detoured to Puerto Rico due to COVID restrictions, yet her team faithfully launched ministries in Peru through digital measures. She’s now joining the Twin Cities Metro campus team where she’ll make her home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the core, she’s an activator and shepherd, connecting with students where they’re at and developing them into gospel-centered persons no matter their location or vocation.
Sherell Adams
Native to the Midwest Sherell graduated from UMSL in her hometown St. Louis, MO. She has been involved in campus ministry with Cru since 2018. She spent the first year working stateside on campus in St. Louis and the next two years serving internationally in East Asia & the Middle East. Sherell is passionate about sharing the salvation of Jesus with people who have never heard and reaching the unreached. She believes that a life without Jesus is a life not worth living, and knowing that there are people out there without access to the gospel compels her to go and share Jesus with them. Because of this, she has decided to serve internationally for the foreseeable future and is currently raising support so that she can go as soon as possible.
