The Coles
Tim and Casey Cole are following God’s call to full-time ministry as missionaries to athletes. They hope to help athletes find their worth and identity in Christ and learn to use their platform in sports to bring glory to God. Their experience as collegiate athletes partnered with coaching experience at the collegiate level has helped prepare them to take on leadership roles within Athletes in Action. Their passion is to mentor young athletes all across the globe and connect them to the heart of God and send them out to change the world around them.
About
Athletes in Action is an international sports organization focused on equipping athletes, coaches, and sport-minded individuals to grow in their relationship with Jesus and multiply their life into others.By serving more than 60 countries, on over 200 college campuses, in 40 professional sport teams, and through digital resources, our ultimate goal is to see Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation.
2017 Trip
Tim’s first interaction with AIA was as a coach on the 2017 international team trip to Panama and Guatemala. Tim was excited about the opportunity to learn more as a coach, but God had more planned for this trip than just baseball. Relationships were made and the team learned to seek after God with their talent and their heart. Casey was able to join the team for 10 days and the seed was planted by seeing how God used both Tim and Casey to connect and mentor these young men. Their marriage and personal stories opened up doors for deep and meaningful conversations with the players. This trip was the beginning of a beautiful journey and call to ministry for the Cole’s.
Financial Need
Athletes in Action is a Faith-based ministry. This means that we don’t have central funds to pay employee salaries. All of our staff members raise the money needed to pay their salary, benefits and ministry expenses.
There are 2 financial ways and 2 non-financial ways to be a part of our ministry team:
1. Monthly (encouraged) or annual financial support
2. Funding special projects (Missions trips, Conferences, Annual leadership trainings, etc.)
3. Referrals (Who do you know that we need to know?) - Can you help connect us with key ministry partners?
4. Prayer - the foundation and heartbeat of the ministry
We are extremely grateful for your continued prayers, generosity and financial support! All gifts are tax deductible.
