Our Story

We met at a Jesus Film event, where Courtney shared story after story of Muslims her team had been able to share the gospel with during the month of Ramadan. As we talked afterwards, we found that a mutual love for sharing the gospel was a core commonality, and as time went on, we decided to make that a pillar of our life together, and got married!

Every Tribe, Tongue, and Touchscreen

I (Landon) have always had a passion creative writing, but I am captivated by stories which communicate truths about Christ and the gospel. One such story is the parable of the talents, in which Jesus calls the crowd to leverage what God has given them for the Kingdom of Heaven. As God has given me a love and passion for writing, I am so blessed to serve as a writer with Jesus Film’s global media team, which allows me to utilize these gifts to further His kingdom. ​

I get to write scripts for short films, mini-series, and other types of media that will be used by field missionaries as ministry tools. These tools help communicate the gospel in culturally curated ways, which provides a thrilling challenge with each script I write as I learn and try to enter the mind of my audience. In addition, I got to write and direct an audio drama based on the story of the prodigal son. It has been a joy to hear kids enjoy the story, and lean into the themes and learn something about the character of our Heavenly Father as they listen.

In our own Backyard

I (Courtney) rededicated my life to Christ as a student at Texas Tech (wreck ‘em!), and always knew that I wanted to go back to the college campus. So after two years in Russia, and two more years digitally engaging with Muslims in the Middle East, I joined campus staff at the University of Central Florida. Here, I get to disciple and equip young women to share and live out their faith on the college campus- and beyond!

I love stories like Pearson’s, who rededicated her life to Christ in college like I did, and felt the Holy Spirit’s conviction to share her faith with her sorority sisters. We practiced together for hours, and the next day, two of her sisters approached her and asked her about her faith in Christ- and she was prepared to share! Both students gave their lives to Christ. That was such a special full circle moment for me, getting to disciple Pearson just as I was discipled when I was a student.

So whether it be on a college campus in Florida, through a car speaker on a family road trip, in a Facebook message to a doubting Muslim in the Middle East, or through the iPhone screen of a former Catholic in Colombia, we are passionate about furthering the gospel of Christ!
