Vanderlei studied Computer Science in Vitoria, Brazil. Since very early he wanted to be a missionary, he loved the stories of missionaries he grew up hosting at home. But years later, he felt he should "take on the reality of life" and his love for technology and robotics led him to his degree.

While being an international student for a year in the States he got to know Cru. In Chicago, he saw hundreds of other students sharing the gospel at squares, parks, universities, beaches, and knew he could no longer stand still. Returning to Brazil, in a "coincidence", he met a group of students from Cru, from different parts of Brazil, who went to Vitória to start a movement at his university. He became one of the movement's leaders there and, later on, going to other states and countries himself to help start new movements.

Little by little, God made his plans clear to him. God was calling him to change all of his plans and continue making disciples of Jesus in Brazilian universities. Vanderlei is looking for partners to help him serve as a full-time missionary at Cru Campus. Would you like to be a part of it?
