Hey! I'm Tim. I joined Athletes in Action in the Fall of 2021 to help student-athletes in Madison, WI find freedom, joy, and identity in Jesus while they compete in the highest amateur level of sports. God is actively drawing people to himself through this ministry, and he has uniquely positioned me to thrive as part of it. He has revealed to me my gifts of shepherding and how I can steward these gifts to make a difference in the lives of student-athletes. I love 1-on-1 discipleship, mentoring, leading bible studies, and teaching large groups - all things I get to do as a full-time staff member of Athletes in Action.

The lives of student-athletes revolve around their sport, and they are constantly being evaluated on their performance. "Are you starting for the team? Are you winning games? Are your stats improving?" They are taught to find their identity in their performance, and yet Athletes in Action exists to point them back to Jesus. The good news is that we are defined by Jesus' work on the cross, and not our own performance in sports or the rest of life. Praise God!
