My name is Kostia, and I am a missionary with "Ukraine for Christ" (part of Campus Crusade for Christ International). I grew up in an atheistic family. In 2017, during my fourth year of university, I encountered the Campus ministry. Through relationships with Christians, God touched my heart, and I made the decision to follow Christ.
Lana is my wife. We met in Campus and got married in 2020. Both of us came to the Lord through campus ministry in our colleges. During our student years, Lana and I were volunteers for a long time, dedicated to building spiritual movements in our universities. Today, Lana works with another mission in Ukraine that supports victims of war and military personnel. We are also incredibly blessed with our little son, Nazar, who brings us so much joy every day.
After volunteering for a while, I realized that ministry is my passion. I wanted to invest in the lives of young people, so I made a firm decision to become a missionary with Campus Ukraine.
With the onset of the full-scale war against Russia, I was mobilized into the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The initial six months were spent on the frontlines, facing the harsh realities of combat. However, by God's grace and the prayers of many, I was given the opportunity to continue my service in a non-combat role at the military headquarters in my hometown, Odesa, close to my wife and family. This period was a time of profound growth and reflection. Most recently, I have been blessed with the opportunity to transition from active military service, allowing me to fully return to my missionary calling.
