Japanese students know shame and brokenness in the depths of their souls. After two years in Japan, I’ve seen it first-hand: mental health crisis, isolation and loneliness, drowning in addiction. And in a country where 1 in 200 people follow Christ, how can they find hope?
But God hasn’t given up on Japan. I know this because he didn’t give up on me, shining his light on my identity of shame and turning my darkness into a testimony of grace. A testimony that Japanese students understand.
And that’s my vision: Jesus meeting students where they hurt the most, redeeming their broken stories to reach their friends and all of Japan with the healing love of Christ.
Young people are hearing the Gospel and being saved. They are being raised into disciples and learning to share their their stories. And God is sending them out to their own communities, where only they can Go.
I get to invite you to join in worship through your prayer, giving and connections, as he fulfills the Great Commission in Japan! Please, pray about giving $50, $100 a month, or whatever is significant and sustainable for you.
