Bruce and Linda met and got married in 1978. God blessed them with a son, Ben, in 1982, and another baby boy, Brandon, in 1984. They were very content and watched how God provided for their family through the years. Sadly for Bruce and the boys, God chose to take Linda to her heavenly home in the Fall of 2001, which left her adoring men devastated. 

Meantime, Sheri had been single for 29 years, refusing to settle for just any man. She needed someone who could lead her spiritually and one whom she could trust after various stories in her past left her guarded. She was active in her single years and one area she served was as a youth leader at the church that her brother was the Youth Pastor. This is where she met Ben and Brandon, and appreciated the young men that they were. Never did she realize that God would bring her and their dad together in spite of the fifteen year difference in their age.

But that is what God did... Bruce and Sheri started dating the Fall of 2002. It was very clear to them that God had preserved Sheri for Bruce, and that she would help him heal through his loss of Linda, making sure to leave the space for her in their family. They were married on Valentine's Day of 2003. God went on to bless them with another baby boy, Alex, in December of 2005, and another in November of 2011, whom they named Gavin. During this time, God blessed their two grown sons with six babies of their own. Blessings upon blessings! Blended families are not for wimps, but we continue to try to glorify God in all we do. There has been some mountain top experience and some deep valley moments, but God is faithful and we know we can trust Him!

Because of our story, we know that God wants to use us to fight for today's marriages. There are so many marriage stories that cover so many areas of hurt and hardship. We want to continue to point couples to God's Word and His ultimate design for marriage. We attended out first Weekend to Remember in 2018, and started serving on the local team that same year. We know that God is calling us to serve as full time staff with Family Life ministries. We are excited to see how He wants to use us and our story to help others wherever they are at in their story.
