This Spring Break I have the opportunity to go to Pasaco, Guatemala. CRU is a Christian organization I am involved in at Georgia Southern and they have partnered with Filter of Hope to provide this opportunity. Filter of Hope is a non profit organization designed to meet the physical needs of people with no or little access to clean water while also meeting their spiritual needs by sharing the gospel. Over 3,000 children die each day from drinking contaminated water, and every year 1.5 million people die because of contaminated water. While in Guatemala I will be installing water filters for communities, and working with a translator to share the gospel. In Guatemala we can give them clean water and the “living water” so they will not thirst again (John 4:10-14). I am really excited about this opportunity to obey and to share God’s love. In order to be able to go on this trip I must raise $2033. Thank you for your support in helping people receive a tangible expression of the gospel and the verbal proclamation of the gospel.
