Micah Herriman is a local pastor in Statesboro, GA, that has been serving as the Chaplain for the Georgia Southern Men’s Basketball Team since 2023. He has been married to his wife, Anna, since 2013 and they have four children: Colton (10), Jack (8), Brooks (6), & Hadlee (4). In 2023 Micah and Matt Wise were invited to co-lead pregame devotions for the teams home games. Through relationship building God opened the door to have significantly more involvement with the team including:
- Launching our First Annual "Hoops and Hot Dogs" Free Basketball Clinic in partnership with the Statesboro Boys & Girls Club
- Leading Weekly Team Culture Meetings and Pregame Devotions
- Starting a Team Bible Study
- Having weekly discipleship with Coach Henry
- Intentionally investing in coaches and players to:
- Win them to Christ (Evangelism)
- Build them up in the faith (Discipleship)
- Send them out as spiritual leaders to use their platform for God’s glory (Multiplication)
Micah is coming on staff part time in order to have the resources to increase his availability with the team and maximize the influence that God has given him for kingdom growth.

We invite you to prayerfully consider joining our team through financial support to reach Athletes and Coaches for Christ on the Georgia Southern Men's Basketball Team. Your partnership will provide a Georgia Southern Men's Basketball specific budget which will give Micah:
- Increased availability to spend more time around the team.
- Resources that are necessary for discipleship like Bibles, studies, and devotions.
- Ministry expenses like paying for meals for the team and individual meetings.
Through your partnership we pray that God would do a mighty work in the hearts of our basketball team, that they would see Jesus as their ultimate treasure, and that in so doing they would play the game in a way that glorifies the name of Christ as they seek to serve their teammates and use their platform to make much of Jesus! Please consider committing to make a monthly donation of $100 each month or some other amount.
