The Virginia Marriage Initiative!

Our local volunteer team, partnering with The Relationship Foundation of VA, is embarking on a dream in 2025 - to establish a marriage initiative in Greater Richmond (Chesterfield and Henrico Counties). We have eight volunteer couples that serve on the FamilyLife team in these two counties and we are excited to be a trusted ally that brings together church leaders and marriage champions to create a culture of flourishing families.

We have bold and audacious desired outcomes - strengthen the local church; increase marriage; reduce divorce. We want to decrease the divorce rate by 30% in the next three years! And in a state where 35% of children are being born to parents who are not married, we want to increase the marriage rate by 10% over the same time period. We believe as we share God's winsome vision for marriage and help couples flourish, marriage will again become "honored among all". We need help - both prayers and finances for this vision to become a reality!

The funds will give us the resources to build a coalition of churches and organizations who will advocate for marriage to be "honored among all" and believe for "more marriage and less divorce."
