​Nearly 70% of international students are stressed and isolated, the majority never being invited to an American’s home. With Bridges International I’ll be serving international students in the Seattle, Washington area for the next year to welcome students, being a home away from home for these students; to share the gospel with many students who have never heard the gospel before; and to help disciple students, encouraging and equipping them in their faith so that they can return back to their countries as missionaries themselves!

As the prophecy of Jesus in Isaiah 61:1 speaks of God’s heart for the poor, the brokenhearted, and the captives, so is my heart for these students who are stressed, lonely, and in need.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners” - Isaiah 61:1
