During most of my time in college,
I was chasing after many things of the world to try to establish a sense of purpose and value in my life
—whether it was partying, obsessing over career achievement, or striving for influence in social groups. But over the past year and a half,
God began to radically change my heart.
Through the ministry of Cru and many faithful people around me,
I experienced firsthand the restoration, fulfillment, and purpose that only Christ can offer.
Because of this transformation, I believe God is calling me to devote at least a full year to reaching people for Christ. I've seen how powerfully God can work—especially in the last quarter of my college experience—and I feel burdened to invite other students into the same restoration and hope that I have found. I am trusting God to use my story and my life to make an eternal impact, praying that hundreds and even thousands of lives across the Central Florida campuses would be introduced to the power and love of Jesus.
God used several key experiences to lead me to intern with Cru specifically. I had a pivotal conversation with Wes, a previous Cru intern, whose testimony about his time with the ministry opened my heart to considering a different path after graduation. At the same time, I was moving forward with a corporate internship and my "safe" post-grad plan, but I sensed God planting a seed of a different calling. Scripture, especially Acts 9:15—"But the Lord said to Ananias, 'Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel'"—confirmed that God could use even my past mistakes and my brokenness for His glory.
I was at a crossroads: would I follow the self-made, secure career path, or trust God and step into the unknown with Cru? Through prayer, conversations, and time in the Word, God made it clear that He was inviting me to trust Him for something greater than I could plan for myself.
As an intern, I hope God will use me to share His great love, purpose, and fulfillment with others, and to continue developing me spiritually for wherever He might call me next. I am excited and expectant for all that He will do—and I can’t wait to be part of the redeeming, life-changing work of His great commission.
Would you prayerfully consider joining me in God's work in Central Florida as my Ministry Partner at $100 a month or any faithful amount that is significant for you?
