SHARING JESUS WITH FAMILIES
Over the last decade, Kendra and I have had the privilege of serving in West Louisville, a community we love deeply. We helped launch a local church where I served as one of the pastors for several years, and Kendra helped lead the women’s ministry while also discipling women through Bible studies. For the past eight years, I’ve worked closely with teens from our neighborhood—young people navigating life in a community marked by poverty, drugs, and violence. While we’ve always loved ministering individually, over the last year God has placed a growing desire in our hearts to serve together in a way that reaches entire families with the love and hope of Jesus.

After much prayer and seeking, God opened a door we never saw coming: an invitation to join FamilyLife, a ministry under Cru that exists to help families experience Christ and grow together. Cru’s heart for sharing the gospel around the world has blown us away, and FamilyLife’s focus on the family aligns deeply with what we believe our community needs. When we received the invitation, Kendra looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, “Who would have thought? A teen mom from Victory Park in the West End would become a missionary.” That moment was a powerful reminder of God’s grace and calling. We are so excited to take this step—together—to share Jesus with families in our city.
