Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page and consider partnering with me in this mission. My heart is to see a Christ-follower on every team, in every sport, in every country, and I’m incredibly grateful you’re here.

My name is Breanna Brandes, and I am passionate about building a Christ-centered community where athletes can grow in their faith, be deeply known, and walk confidently in their identity in Christ. At Texas State, I have already seen God moving in powerful ways, and I’m humbled to be part of what He is doing on campus.

The Lord led me to Athletes in Action through participating in college athletics. As a collegiate pole vaulter, I once found my identity in my sport and performance. It wasn’t until I began to grow in my faith and get more involved with Athletes in Action that I discovered the truth of who I am in Christ and what my true calling is. I now know that I am fully accepted and unconditionally loved by Him, no matter the outcome.

Through this transformation, I began to see how many athletes are searching for identity in their performance, just like I once did. There is such a deep need for athletes to be known beyond their sport and rooted in something greater, their identity in Christ. Through that realization, God called me into ministry.

Now, I have the opportunity to walk alongside athletes as they navigate both their sport and their faith. I get to encourage, disciple, and equip them to live boldly for Jesus and make an impact on their teams, their campus, and beyond.I’ve recently stepped into a new role as an Athletes in Action intern, where I am investing more intentionally in discipling athletes and helping lead ministry on campus. This role has already stretched me and strengthened my faith, and I’m excited to continue growing in how God uses me.

This summer, I will also be going on ECPR (Extreme Challenge Puerto Rico), a mission trip where I will share the Gospel, serve others, and grow in my faith in a cross-cultural environment. Experiences like this continue to shape my heart for ministry and deepen my desire to see lives changed for Christ, both locally and globally.
