PROJECT PURPOSE

To share the good news of Christ to vacationing Gulf Arabs “Khaleeji” in cities across Europe during the summer. While in Europe the Khaleeji can relax and enjoy the western life without the restrictions they have in their own countries. They are much more open to having spiritual conversations, and take home the Christian resources they are given.

Arabic speaking disciples (who are already trained in their home countries) travel to Europe to engage in spiritual conversations which lead to sharing a clear gospel message. The evangelists are able to have deep spiritual conversations and explain gospel truths clearly in the heart language of the visiting Gulf Arabs.

PRESENT REALITIES

The instability in the Middle East has caused the Khaleeji to want to vacation away from all the problems, and also to enjoy the freedoms of Europe. Germany has become a new hotspot for these visitors. In 2017 alone, over 660,000 people travelled to Germany from the Arabian Gulf.

ETERNAL IMPACT

Cru staff continue to report more openness among visiting Gulf Arabs. In years past, most of them refused to talk or take anything from the team members. Now, many are confused and/or disillusioned by their traditional religion. This openness makes it easier to engage in conversation with them. They ask good questions, and many are seeking the truth.

FINANCIAL NEED

To bring these Arabic speaking disciples to the EU for the 10-14 days of the project costs an average of $2,001 per person. This includes travel and in-country expenses. The missionaries raise half of their airfare, so they have ownership in the mission trip.
