In the West African country of Togo, Latif was a prominent member of the local religion in his village. He started to attend gatherings hosted by a local woman and participated in story groups, the oral equivalent of Bible studies. When he heard the story of Jesus’ death, he said “If Jesus is ready to go to the cross for me, I want to give my life to him.” He follows Jesus now! In November, Latif attended a StoryRunners church-planting training so that he can learn to lead the growing church community that still meets at the same woman’s house.
