More than 1,800 ministry partners are ready to use these translations as soon as they are produced, scripted, recorded, edited and released. They have people who will go with zeal to reach their own nations, working in partnership until everyone, everywhere, has experienced the film “JESUS.”
Should you wish to help, please give as you are able and as He may lead. Again, thank you for your partnership.
You can help unreached people see, hear and understand the gospel in the language of their hearts. As you might imagine, creating each new lip-sync version of “JESUS” is a rigorous task. It begins with finding speakers of the language who can translate and produce an accurate script, faithful to the Scriptures. Then voice actors are recruited, and the recordings are made—going scene by scene. This recording process can take several days—often done secretly, hidden from opposing authorities. After careful editing and adjusting the dialogue to match, the version is reviewed by local speakers for approval. It is only after being approved that the new translation is released.
Help Fund a Lip-Sync Translation of "JESUS"
The cost to produce a new lip-sync version from script to release is $45,000. Perhaps you would feel led to help by joining with others to produce a new translation with a gift of $50, $75 or $100. Working together, you can help an unreached people meet Jesus.

Help Create a Script
Another great need is the most essential, to create the actual scripts. Many of the more difficult languages have never been studied or documented. The cost to create a script, the foundation of each translation, is $9,500. Once done, recording can begin of local voice actors.
Or you may wish to carry a language project over the finish line. There are several key language versions that have encountered unexpected costs—logistic complications, additional recordings to increase language effectiveness, travel costs and more. You can help finish one of these language projects through a gift of $5,000 (an average cost). Perhaps God will use you to help give one of these waiting people groups the gospel.
You don’t have to underwrite the entire cost of one of these projects. Few of us have such financial resources. But we can all have a part. Any gift, large or small, will make a difference in enabling unreached people to meet Jesus—to hear and feel Him communicate His love.

Amazing—even miraculous—reports.
But first, I want to thank you. Our God is working through you. Your kind support is leading people to the cross—people who have never heard the gospel. You are helping them understand what Jesus has done for them and to hear Him speak. Thank you so much for your faithfulness. Now, that report …
• Ali* was a professor at a theological school, a seminary in the Middle East. He taught ethics from the holy books of his religion. The school was in Iraq.
As part of his studies, Ali was well acquainted with the prophets. He wanted to learn about all of them. So, he obtained a Bible to study Jesus, whom he knew as “The Great Prophet Isa.” As he read, Ali became very impressed with the character of Jesus. He said that Isa (Jesus) was not like other prophets who often sought after their own benefit. He was very different, self-giving and loving. To Ali it was a stunning contrast. Then something remarkable happened ...
Ali said that Jesus began literally appearing to him in person, sitting across a table. He said it happened 17 times! “Jesus did not speak. Instead, He transferred His thoughts into me like a computer download. He answered questions I had not thought about. I would ask Him how we can live like Him. He gave me truth for the rest of my life.”
Then Ali was given the chance to watch the film “JESUS.” Again, he was amazed. “It was Him, the Man who appeared to me 17 times!”** Ali believed and began sharing with other seminary professors that Jesus was indeed the Son of God. The seminary leadership was, of course, not happy. They fired Ali.
But his witness was powerful. Ali went on to lead seven of his fellow professors to Christ! They all suffered persecution as a result. And Ali fled to Lebanon. It was there that he felt a burden for his people back home to know the truth he had found. Working with staff, he became the voice of Jesus in the Baghdadi Arabic translation of “JESUS.”
That translation has since been seen and heard an estimated 15 million times. It’s been viewed through DVDs, microSD cards, television and heard daily via radio broadcasts on more than three stations. Segments of this translation are also viewed digitally, often through social media ads. And it all began when Jesus appeared 17 times, and when Ali watched the film “JESUS.” It was your partnership that then helped record, edit, release and distribute this Baghdadi Arabic translation of “JESUS,” a film now in 2,239 (and counting) different translations. To Him I give all the glory. Let me share another miracle …

• Once again, for security, I cannot mention the name of the region or nation.*** The people here follow the same religion as Ali did. A new believer described this as a place where “Christianity is almost nonexistent, where ministry is outlawed … extremely backwards, secluded from civilization … and there are no roads.” Here is that believer’s testimony, how he came to faith:
“A ranking teacher of our religion visited us. His style seemed like our religion, but his teaching was not. He asked me questions about salvation. I didn’t know how to answer him. He kept asking me more questions. I became confused. Then he gave me a book and consoled me, saying, ‘Read this book, it will clear up your confusion.’
“I immediately objected. ‘This is the Gospel, the Injil, it’s been corrupted.’ The teacher encouraged me, ‘Read it and show me where it has been corrupted. Show me the errors.’ Again, I was without an answer. So, I took it home and read the book. It was difficult to understand, and I could not find where it had been corrupted; no mistakes.
“Then the teacher invited me to a private gathering at our house of prayer. After the last prayer of the day, 20-30 people stayed on. We shared a meal together. They closed all the doors. The teacher had invited a friend from a nearby university. He set up a projector and started a movie. Once more I was shocked. It was a movie about Isa, about who I had read in the Gospel. Now, we were watching this in the halls of our house of prayer!”
Of course, the friend had brought the film “JESUS,” a translation of the locally spoken language.
“As I watched, I could see what I had read about in the Gospel. I could now understand the verses and events that I could not before. All these things became clear. My heart and mind were opened. I felt as though I was living in the era of Jesus. I could finally understand the message of salvation. I came to faith in Isa.”
Regularly, we receive moving testimonies like these as people experience the power of God and understand the gospel through the film “JESUS.” And people come to faith because at last, they can hear and understand the living, the powerful Word of God in their heart language. The visual portrayal of the gospel story, combined with hearing the Word of God is very effective. In those moments, Jesus speaks to their hearts in their mother tongue. Again, my thanks to you. It is your partnership of gracious giving that has made these many translations of “JESUS” possible.

• This brings me to a recent email report from a staff member who has been deeply involved with creating new translations of “JESUS.” It’s better if I don’t mention his name or the country, except that there are many islands there. The nation is home to millions of people who speak a great variety of languages and dialects. I have edited what he wrote:
“A few years ago, I trained a handful of local believers in the process of recording a translation of the ‘JESUS’ film. Earlier this year, I was able to travel back to the same place to do additional training for four more teams, as well as bring new equipment to those same brothers and sisters. Since that first training a few years ago, these eight locals have recorded dozens of languages of the ‘JESUS’ film … exponentially faster than if I were to do it alone.
“As all these teams continue to do new recordings of the ‘JESUS’ film and other gospel tools, they will invariably have to travel to very challenging locations to work with obscure people groups in order to bring God’s good news to them in their own heart languages. It has been said, ‘the easy fruit has already been picked,’ which means what remains are the people groups that are harder to reach and require more creative solutions to access.
“Even though the ‘JESUS’ film is available in more than 2,239 languages, we hear over and over how much more responsive people are to the gospel when they hear it in their heart language, not another language they have had to learn for school or business. We never want anyone to have to learn another language in order to hear and understand God’s offer of love and forgiveness.”
*Ali is not his real name; it has been changed for security.
**Often, we hear how Jesus appears to people in visions and dreams so that He resembles the actor in the film who portrayed Jesus.
