Thank you for playing such a strategic role in equipping 1,800 partners, many of whom are on the frontlines of evangelism in the most difficult places. Because His Word never returns void, I have confidence that God will use the equipment you send to transform lives and roll back the spiritual darkness.

            Thousands of microSD cards are being requested, plus backpack sets and video tablets. Funds are also needed to help broadcast “JESUS” into homes, to reach people digitally on their phones, reaching into places where even the most hardened heart can meet Jesus for the first time. As you send these tools to workers on the frontlines, as they follow up seekers who respond to broadcasts and video streaming, they will match your gift with their obedience, labor and lives.

            The link below has several ways you can equip these workers and send “JESUS” into fields ready for harvest. I invite you to make this list a matter of prayer and then as He leads and enables, join in the harvest “… so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9b, NASB).

What an amazing God we serve!

            Through your faithfulness in prayer and giving, and the work of many ministry partners—all empowered by the Holy Spirit—the gospel is going to the ends of the earth.

            It’s why I’m honored to be a part of this wonderful family of partners … with you! Thank you so much. Through this global partnership great spiritual darkness is retreating, as you are about to read.

            ➤ A two-person film team, from one of the 1,800 ministries who use “JESUS,” rode their small motorbike to a remote village. It took nearly three hours to arrive, going through rural, mountainous terrain.

            The team learned that a powerful demon was in the village, possessing a woman the people called Mrs. Red*. She would sometimes fall into a trance, scream and become violent. Her disruptive behavior was not unusual. Everyone knew her and feared the spirits, for demons were part of their lives.

            Hearing about Mrs. Red, the team went into her home and prayed with the family. All eyes were on the team as they interceded for her. For two days they prayed, seeking her deliverance. They laid hands on Mrs. Red, commanding the strong demon to leave. But each time, it resisted, trying to intimidate them.

            Finally, yielding to the surpassing power of the Lord, the demon spoke: “I don’t want to leave this woman. If I do, then God will come to this valley.” After several more hours of prayer and struggle, the demon surrendered and left.

            Mrs. Red began to experience freedom as she learned about Jesus. She memorized Scripture. And the team showed her the “JESUS” film so she could see and hear the story of the Son of God who had delivered her. Mrs. Red believed and became one of the first Christian leaders in her region. Many witnessed her transformation and heard her testimony. There are now eight churches and 300 believers in the area.

Just as the demon feared, God came to the valley!

            ➤  Another partner that uses “JESUS” shared this next report, again showing how our God is dispelling the darkness. One of their workers, a man I will call Sankar, goes from village to village showing unreached people “JESUS.” 

            He uses a video tablet that you helped provide. The tablets don’t attract the attention of radicals. They can show the film to families or small groups in the safety of their homes. Sankar also uses the tablet to ground believers in their new faith, discipling them through the Word of God and follow-up films. Reporting on Sankar’s ministry, this partner wrote:

            “Two women named Pedia and Ratun, the wives of two brothers, were suffering greatly from fear of evil spirits. Because of this fear, they were unable to sleep at night and lived in constant distress.

            “During one of Sankar's ministry visits, they saw the ‘JESUS’ film and how Jesus drove out evil spirits and delivered people from bondage. As they listened to the message and began to believe in God, their lives started to change. When they placed their faith in Jesus, the fear that once troubled them disappeared.

            “Now they are free from the fears that once controlled their lives. They are living in peace, praying to God, and growing in their faith. We praise God for their salvation!”

            ➤  This last report comes from a staff member who was carrying a shipment of showing equipment into a very difficult nation. I will refer to him as Stan. The equipment was destined for workers and partners like Sankar and hundreds of others, working to see their people set free.

            “Landing at an airport in a Middle Eastern country, I had an abnormal amount of ministry items I was bringing in (showing equipment), far more than what would normally go unnoticed [by the authorities].     

            “[So far,] I had gotten past every security point, praying each step of the way. All that was left was walking through customs. As I found a group to walk inside of, and as I was walking past customs, the officer stopped me, pointed to the one bag that had the majority of the items, and said [to] put it there (in the x-ray machine). As it went through, the officers looked at the computer, began speaking in their language, then said [to] open up the bag.

            “The officer noticed two of my twelve large items meant to show the gospel to unreached people groups at the destination. One of the items brought a strong response from the officer; he began sifting through it, opening every section, and questioning me on it. He called over the officer above him.

            “The officer above him was sitting in the chair, laid back, with his arms behind his head.

            “He glanced over, decided he didn’t feel like getting up, and gave a motion with his hand to send me along.”

             God is answering your prayers. He is protecting the equipment you send—carrying the liberating story of the gospel, His Word. This is why your prayers are so appreciated, for prayer dispels the darkness. His power, the gospel, breaks spiritual chains of bondage.

            A Jesus Film Project^® leader described what is at stake in just one nation, the opportunities before us: “There is growth of the kingdom here we have never seen. These workers just need the tools, the video tablets, showing sets and smaller tools like microSD cards for use in the cities. They need these tools to make the gospel real and then disciple them and help them grow in their faith.”
