I am deeply grateful for you and every partner of “JESUS,” and today brings incredible news to celebrate.

        A recent study revealed that more than 2,400 various ministries and organizations are now using “JESUS.” This is an encouraging milestone. Your partnership is supplying these partners with translations of “JESUS” (now numbering 2,310), showing equipment, digital, internet and media strategies and training. Thank you!

CHALLENGE GRANT

        With more than 2,400 ministry partners now using “JESUS,” requests for equipment, translations, training and support are outpacing our capacity to provide what they need. The opportunities these ministries describe are very promising. It’s why a generous couple has given the first $80,000 as a Challenge Grant. They invite you to follow their lead, to join them and leverage His Word into fields “ready to harvest.”

        May I call your attention to the Church-Planting Backpack Kits. Few of us can fund all the cost of one of these kits ($3,270), but you can still help through a gift of $100, $250 or $500. Perhaps you can cover one-fourth the cost with a gift of $818 or one-half with a gift of $1,635.

        We have also received requests from many partners for video tablets, with clear Bluetooth speakers ($625). These are ideal to share the good news in resistant areas. Your gift of can equip three workers with a video tablet kit, reaching up to 20 people at a time.

        You might feel led to help support a waiting film team. Each team needs about $294 per week. They may travel during the day to a remote, unreached village then show the film that night. The next morning, they could meet with new believers. As you are able, you might feel led to sponsor a film team reaching thousands for one month of ministry with a gift of $1,250 or for an entire year with a gift of $15,000.

        Also, consider helping to sponsor live streaming of “JESUS” and digital evangelism through the internet. These outreaches are very effective in closed nations where sharing your faith person to person can be dangerous. You might wish to sponsor internet evangelism for up to 19,885 people through a gift of $580.

        “We were in South Sudan, showing ‘JESUS’ in several villages. The people advised us to avoid one particular village, saying, ‘That’s where the devil lives.’ It was their way of saying there were a lot of shamans, a stronghold of witchcraft and demonic oppression. That made me want to go there! So, we went.

         “We had shown ‘JESUS’ in other villages where many people received Christ. We helped them destroy their objects of witchcraft, amulets and idols. But we found this specific village to be a challenging place, feeling and experiencing much spiritual opposition. We were used to seeing God work miracles in other villages, but not here. The people were not responsive to the gospel. I was pretty discouraged.

        “In my heart, I was down, depressed. Going back two years ago, in this same village, witch doctors and village elders had drawn a line in the sand, telling me: ‘Our witches can do miracles. Your churches can’t do that. When your Jesus moves with power, we will believe, but not before.’

        “It was here now, in this village, that we met an elderly widow. She was totally blind, each eye being white, either from an eye infection or cataracts. Her daughter was also a widow. Both had lost their husbands in the brutal Sudan civil war. With her being blind, and without husbands, they had no hope, only poverty. All I could do that day was to share the gospel with them.

        “In prayer, I laid hands on the blind mother. Inside, I was honest with God. ‘I’m so tired. Please heal this woman. We’re not seeing any breakthroughs. I am asking You to show Your power. If You don’t show up, I quit.’ All of a sudden, this elderly blind woman reached out and grabbed my shirt and started tugging, saying, ‘I see you … I see you … I see you!’

        “Through an interpreter I asked, ‘What? You see me?’ ‘Yes! I see you!’ She started pointing all around at various objects. ‘I see that … and that … and that!’ I looked in her eyes. They were clear. God had acted!

         “It was a beautiful, beautiful demonstration of the gospel, the breakthrough I sought. After that, many people began to come to our evangelistic meetings. They were already coming out for the films, but it was like something now had changed. Word spread that the miracles weren’t just in the movie, but they were happening in real life. Jesus was showing His power. He was more powerful than the shamans. We saw other miracles, but the most significant miracle was when I got to baptize some of the elders and witch doctors in the river. They were the very ones who had once told me, ‘When your God does miracles, we’ll believe.’ They did believe and were made new in Christ. I will never forget.”
