Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

"Young men such as myself are searching for significance and searching for purpose. And because of you, they can find that in the Word of God."

At a recent ceremony celebrating the distribution of two million RDKs, this soldier was just one of the people who shared how you are making a difference. Here's more of what this soldier--who was holding a Rapid Deployment Kit in his hand--had to say:

"Young men such as myself are searching for significance and searching for purpose. And because of you, they can find that in the Word of God. You're to be commended ... because what you're doing for the Kingdom far exceeds what you can do for this world. Continue doing what you're doing. We appreciate you. Thank you for your diligence, for your perseverance, for your faithfulness, for your love. Thank you."

I also want to offer my deepest gratitude for all that you have done to reach our men and women serving in the armed forces. Your faithful partnership has truly been a blessing to many. However, even as we celebrate the distribution of two million RDKs, the words of this soldier are a clear reminder that the work is far from complete ... "Continue doing what you're doing."

With your support, distribution of RDKs is continuing. In fact, in January and February alone, people like you helped provide more than 32,000 RDKs for our men and women in uniform! These Kits are distributed in direct response to requests from soldiers, chaplains, and military family members. So as you can see from the tens of thousands of Kits already distributed this year, the demand remains high.

At the ceremony, a Navy chaplain shared, "[Marines, soldiers, sailors, airmen, and coastguardsmen are] usually at life's juncture where they're making major decisions ... And when they're looking into the eyes of possibly facing the enemy in combat, they're looking beyond life into eternity.

"And so, tell me please what is more significant, what is more strategic, what is more important, what is more vital than to be distributing God's Word--the Holy Bible--to those kinds of young people. If I didn't have the Bible, I wouldn't have anything that I could do for the troops. Because you're making the Word of God available, they're reading it and their lives are changing."

Through the support and prayers of people like you, lives are being transformed for Christ! As the words of this chaplain--as well as the soldier above--make clear, these Kits are vital to meeting the ongoing spiritual needs of our troops, many of whom are searching for assurance as they look into eternity. Would you prayerfully consider what you might do to again reach out to provide God's Word to our men and women in uniform?

It still takes just $3.25 to get one of these Kits--each with a pocket-sized New Testament, daily devotional, and evangelistic booklet--into the hands of a service member. A gift of any amount--$52 for 16 RDKs, $130 for 40 RDKs, or even $650 for 200 RDKs--would do so much to share the hope of Christ with our troops.

Again, I understand that times here are difficult and I certainly do not want you to feel pressured. I simply want to share this need with you and ask that you prayerfully consider if the Lord might have you give.
