Dear partner in reaching troops for Christ,

In this season of thanks, heres a special one for you--all the way from Afghanistan:

Just wanted to let you know that God blessed us with a box of your RDKs to put in our newly-constructed chapel here in one of the surge units in Afghanistan. This was a massive blessing because were literally building from the ground up and many of our units religious supplies are still en route from the States. So, this is just a brief note to say thank you for all that you do ... the RDKs really helped us to cover for budgeting/supply shortfalls and keep the ministry rolling! May God bless you as richly as He has blessed us through you.

As you can see, you are there for this surge in Afghanistan, offering American heroes the encouragement of the Gospel. You have given them a copy of Gods Word that many keep with them literally all the time, tucked into their uniform pocket. You keep ministry rolling.

The thank you in this email--and many others--really belong to you. You have indeed touched many of our troops for Christ.

Military men and women continue to go into harms way. And as they are deployed to places like Afghanistan, many begin to ask the big questions about life, death and eternity. Will you help answer those questions and point more troops to Christ?

We continue to receive requests for between 10,00015,000 Rapid Deployment Kits each month; as you can see from the note above, we are even able to ship them overseas for men and women in combat situations!

In addition, requests for the new Spiritual Fitness Kits--which I told you about a few weeks ago--are increasing. Now that the Army edition has been completed, the other services are requesting these powerful Christianity 101 Kits. Each includes a complete Military Edition Bible plus a 42-page, spiral-bound Spiritual Fitness Handbook that clearly presents the Gospel, leading troops through everything from What is Christian Faith? to Preparing for Spiritual Warfare (by putting on the armor of God, piece by piece) to Dealing with Tough Times. These Kits are opening a new front in the campaign to build spiritual fitness in troops. One Air Force chaplain has said, This could be one of the most effective tools providing spiritual awareness and growth that we have ever seen.

Although they are brand-new, more than 1,100 Spiritual Fitness Kits (costing $10 each) have already been requested! In addition, 10,00015,000 RDKs are still needed each month. However, these requests cannot be answered without the help of people like you.

So as Christmas approaches, would you again consider how you might help? Whatever the Lord lays on your heart to give would help provide Spiritual Fitness Kits and Rapid Deployment Kits to troops so that they might hear and understand the Gospel! You could consider each one a Christmas gift to a lonely servicemember--away from home and needing the comfort and hope that only the Lord provides.
