History
LIFE Ministry Uganda is an affiliate of Campus Crusade for Christ International (CCC). CCC began in 1951 on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles with only two staff. It has since grown into a global spiritual movement with over 21,000 full-time staff serving in over 190 nations including the newest country South Sudan.
LIFE Ministry Uganda is one of the oldest ministries of Campus Crusade for Christ in Africa. It was launched in Uganda 1971. It is an interdenominational Christian organizational effectively involved in fulfilling the Great Commission and accelerating societal transformation in Uganda and beyond, with mandate from Matt. 28:18-20 and 2 Tim. 2:2. Since its inception it has sent dozens of missionaries to open new frontiers, strengthen existing ministries and give leadership to others.
How I joined LIFE Ministry Uganda
I first got exposed to LIFE Ministry Uganda (LMU) through the New Life Training (NLT) as a student in 1982 and was equipped in practical Christian living including learning how to share my faith and helping others grow and share their faith. I witnessed changed lives, growth in my own life and lives of others. That experience was fundamental in fostering a deep desire to know Christ and make him known to my peers and school at large and eventually to committing myself to full time ministry. I joined LMU fully in 1987 after graduating from campus. Since then, I have worked among University students and helped in training new staff. I have served in different leadership responsibilities at national and regional level.
My ministry inspiration derives from John 15:16-chosen and appointed to bear fruit and the kind that lasts; and as an ambassador of Christ, to reconcile man back to God-2 Corinthians 5:17-20.
My Missionary Journey to CCC-SEA region
After 27 years of service, with over 20 years with student ministry, new staff training and leadership development at national and international level, I am moving to Harare, Zimbabwe where I have been challenged to serve as the regional leadership development/human resources (LDHR)and crisis management coordinator, Campus Crusade for Christ-Southern and Eastern Africa region. The region covers 24 countries and has a population of over 300 million people.
My task is to raise, equip/empower, mentor, and deploy leaders to launch spiritual movements in every area of influence/domain; and to build sustainable leader and leadership capacity for the unfinished task of world evangelism as well as societal transformation.
What it will take
Moving from Uganda to Zimbabwe is a huge step of faith. Economically speaking, the Zimbabwean economy is 3 times stronger than that of Uganda! But I choose to obey the Lord. Nevertheless, I cannot do it alone. I need a team of people who equally share the burden for missions. For this reason, I ask you to prayerfully consider being part of what God is doing in Southern and Eastern Africa by joining my team of financial and prayer partners.
All staff of LIFE Ministry Uganda and Campus Crusade for Christ international are responsible for mobilizing the finances necessary for their personal as well as ministry expenses. Through the investments of individuals and/or institutions, each staff is enabled to be fully involved in the work of the Lord. The individuals and/or institutions become partners with the staff and the Ministry in the Lord’s harvest through their investments.Therefore, your partnership is critical because it is the missing ingredient in making this missionary challenge and opportunity possible.
