We are national leaders in the ministry in Australia.

Liz joined Cru in 1985 and served with Student Venture (High School) ministry in Atlanta, Indiana, California, Florida and Ohio before accepting an opportunity to serve with Youth Ministries Australia (High School ministry in Australia) in Melbourne in 1996.

After graduating, Geoff had worked with a Big Four accounting firm and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. In 1995 he joined Power to Change Australia and served on campus until 2021.

Geoff & Liz met at a national staff conference, married in July 1997 and Liz transfered to the campus ministry. She has been mentoring senior women staff while being a full-time mother since they adopted Philip (Nov 14, 2001) in January 2003. Katrise (July 1, 2005) was adopted in September 2006.

Around Easter 2021, Geoff and Liz relocated from Sydney to Melbourne to take up national roles. Currently, Geoff is the National Leader for Strategic Engagement. Liz serves on the Development and Well Being team.

Around 3% of Australian young adults attends church regularly. Over 60% do not even have a friend who is a Christian. This creates great opportunities and challenges for ministry. The opportunities come because Christianity is something "new" - young people approach it with fresh eyes after finding that their parent's explorations of new age, secularism, etc. did not help. The challenges come because of the rampant secular materialism expressed through consumerism, and the brokenness of sin that makes genuine discipleship even more challenging.
