Dear friend in Christ,

God is a God of miracles and He uses available people like you and me to accomplish His purposes. This is a story of Gods miracle of change in the Middle East.

If you are willing, He wants to use you to help change the Middle East. Today, thousands of young people are being drawn into a radical, influential minority that teaches hatred and revenge. They need a miracle!

Adel is a Middle Eastern follower of Jesus. He has a passion to point his people to the gospel, with a special burden for young people. He has led many to Christ. One day Adel gave a video to a friend, Yousef, a young taxi driver. It was the "JESUS" film in Arabic.

Yousef was a devout follower of the religion in that area and had little interest in anything Christian. He believed the many misconceptions about Christ that he had been taught through his religious instruction. Yet, he was strangely drawn to this man he knew only as "the Prophet, Isa."

Curious, Yousef began to watch the film. He felt the power of the words. Over many days Adel met with his friend as they repeatedly watched "JESUS" and discussed the meaning of His words. But he was so torn. Finally, Yousef said, "Adel, I want to believe Jesus is the Son of God. What you have told me is in my head, but another religion is at the root of my body. I cannot do this."

"Then promise me this," Adel told him, "Today, pray to God to help you. Ask God: If all that Adel has told me is true, show me by a miracle. If you are sincere, He will answer."

The next morning Adel drove up to his office at 9:00AM. Yousef was there, eagerly anticipating his arrival. He was changed; his face was aglow with joy. "Adel! I have been here since 7:00AM waiting for you! I went driving in my taxi yesterday, so I could think. I did what you said. I asked God to show me. I felt a presence in my taxi, next to me in the passenger seat. I turned to see a man, who looked just like Jesus in the film."

Yousef then began to weep, saying, "He was glowing brightly. And, oh, the way He was speaking to my heart. He told me, All that Adel has spoken about Me is true! Adel, I am for Jesus! He has moved from my head to my heart! You did not lead me to Christ. He did!"

Yousef is now a committed disciple of Jesus and has led many other people from his country to Christ by sharing his testimony and giving them the "JESUS" video and urging them to ask God to show them if the story in "JESUS" is true! Many are young people.

Let me tell you about another miracle! A woman had been giving "JESUS" videos to people boarding ferries in the ports of southern Europe, bound for their homes in Muslim North Africa. When she returned to her own home in Paris, she encountered a young man, Wasif. He was from North Africa and asked her, "Do you have the film?"

Oh, you mean "JESUS," she replied. "Yes, thats the one! Some of my friends received it at the ports, but I want one for myself before I return home." The woman did not have any more copies in his language but promised to mail Wasif a video.

Days later she was at the post office, preparing to mail a "JESUS" video to him. But the postal worker looked at the country address. He told her, "Madame, you are wasting your time. I know this country. It will be confiscated at the border and never be delivered." She mailed it anyway. Weeks passed, then one day she received a brief letter. It was from Wasif!

"Dear sister in Christ,
I watched the video, then I began to show it to my friends. Now we are meeting weekly to study the New Testament together. Thank you for sending me the video!"

At the bottom of the letter were the signatures of 10 people, who, by writing their names, took the courageous step to indicate they had prayed to receive Christ and were members of the Bible study! Praise God!

How can just a simple video have such power to change lives? It is the power of the Word of God, presented through translations of "JESUS," in the local languages of the nations of the world. Through "JESUS," God is miraculously transforming lives, even in the most difficult, spiritually dark places on earth.

Many of these places are in the Middle East and North Africa, prime breeding grounds for feelings of hatred and revenge, a reaction to their poverty, hopelessness and spiritual darkness. Small bands of radicals draw youth into their cause, fueling their passions, and training them in the ways of terrorism, into killing the innocent, even themselves.

But what if these young men and women were first given a chance to see "JESUS"? What if they had an opportunity, like Wasif, to ask God to make Himself real, to understand the Gospel? Many could become "new creatures in Christ," having been transformed by the power of the Word, and miraculously called "out of darkness into His marvelous light."

I am writing to you today because God has provided many effective avenues to distribute more than 200,000 videos, DVDs, audiocassettes, CD-ROMs, VCDs and other versions of "JESUS" throughout the Middle East and North Africa. There are opportunities in Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Algeria, Iran and the Holy Land, just to name a few.

Historically, for every $50 you might send for these media tools, "JESUS" can be shown to an estimated 200 people. Further research has shown that, in many areas, of these 200 viewers, on average, 20 may indicate a decision for Christ!

Are you drawn to help reach out to young people who have been raised in strong, anti-Christian traditions? Would you allow them to experience the power of the Word of God, so that the Holy Spirit might use His Word to transform their hearts?

Recent elections in the region are evidence of the winds of change. People who historically have been resistant to Christ are now open as never before, if someone will give them a chance.

And, consider this: The majority of the populations in the Middle East are under the age of 15, an age when they are most open to the gospel, or vulnerable to be drawn to revenge or self-sacrifice. So a special version of "JESUS" has been developed, in Arabic, designed expressly to help children and young people understand the love Jesus has for them, called "The Story of Jesus for Children."

Would you help reach them, before some are captured by radical elements? You can help through a gift of $35, $50, $100 or more. Or, if God has blessed you financially, you could have a much greater impact by sending a gift of [b]$500, $1,000 or as much as $5,000.

Allow me to give you one more example of how God can use you. Christian workers gave copies of "JESUS" to a video rental store in one of these nations. The owner reluctantly agreed to make them available, cautioning that the majority of his customers were not Christian. He thought few would watch.

After some months the workers returned to the store. Checking the rental records, they were astounded to find that 150 people had rented "JESUS" and 34 had used a form they had included with the tapes to indicate they prayed the prayer of salvation at the end of the video!

The workers have since met to follow up with some of those new believers. Many are now in private Bible studies, growing in their newfound faith.

It is true. God is "able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine." The only thing He asks of us is to be willing channels for His miracles, to be available.

As He leads you, be available to help change the Middle East, to make a difference that will transform their lives for eternity!

NOTE: On occasion, the Holy Spirit reportedly gives a vision of the risen Christ that resembles the actor who portrays Jesus. It appears to be His way of affirming the truth of His Word to some who have seen or will see the film.
