Dear Friend in Christ,

I love to tell you the amazing things that God is doing!

Clearly, the Lord is using your intercession, your heart of giving so people might experience the living Word of God--the entire basis of the film JESUS.

Nasir was a criminal. He was behind bars, in a rough prison of Central Asia. While there, he got to know another prisoner, Yaman, who had recently come to Christ. Yaman joined a team of Christians who traveled from place to place, sharing JESUS and following up with new believers.

Nasir saw an opportunity. He asked Yaman to loan him the portable player which the authorities had allowed Yaman to keep. But Nasir's motives were not right, for he wanted to show his buddies a pornographic film.

Yaman responded: "I will loan you the player, but first you must promise me that you and your friends will first watch the film JESUS. You must give me your word and watch it... Just watch JESUS first and return the player in the morning." Nasir agreed.

Still within the prison walls, his four friends arrived, eager to watch for their own excitement and gratification. But Nasir explained to the men that they had to first watch a film about the "Prophet Isa." Peeved and disappointed, they agreed, but soon left.

Alone now, and with only a portable player and JESUS, Nasir watched. In the words of the staff worker who told me his story, Nasir was "blown away" by the Word, and the life of Jesus. He actually watched the film five times in a row, going all night. It was so foreign to him...so contrary to all he had been led to believe. But at last, he grasped the incredible meaning of the gospel. In the morning, still alone, he prayed and became a follower of Jesus.

Nasir is out of prison now and has himself become a member of a JESUS church-planting film team! A staff member, the source of this report, says: "...Nasir has become one of the most effective workers in the world. The man is an incredible evangelist! He is fearless and courageous, actively showing the film to countless people. The JESUS film is just amazing in its ability to transform lives through the living Word of God."
