Our adventure with Campus Crusade for Christ International started in 1992 when Dr. Kamate came to launch the Cru movement in Cameroon. This was the greatest life-changing event in my life. I soon found myself involved nearly full-time until I was eventually asked to join Cru staff. I finished my intense Cru training in late 1993. How thankful I was to have Emma join me in Cru ministry after our marriage in 1997. The African movement of Cru is operating under the theme: The Battle for Africa. Cameroon plays a vital role because it is at the very heart of Africa. Our current role within The Battle for Africa is to pioneer a model movement in the central African region that will push back Islam and help promote a church whose main focus is to make disciples of all nations. We do this by recruiting Christians who can saturate the digital world with spiritually sound content and then follow up with new believers online as well as reaching out physically where possible. We are so grateful to the Lord who, for the last 28 years, has brought generous people into our lives to make disciples of all nations and support our daily needs. Now, a new season of focused ministry is opening up for us as we become empty nesters. Yet, the covid pandemic has brought our Cru donations to the lowest levels ever impacting the meeting of our day-to-day needs and our ability to pay for the education of the children. We are trusting God to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine as God’s people join our Cru mission team and partner with us to keep the gospel preached in Africa.
